What is included

  • Interim, full or major engine service to the manufacturer's own schedule
  • Engine oil and filter, to the correct specification for your engine
  • Air, pollen and fuel filters at the right intervals
  • Spark plugs on petrol engines at the scheduled interval
  • All fluid levels checked and topped up
  • Brakes, tyres, suspension, steering and exhaust inspected
  • Battery, charging system and lighting checked
  • Manufacturer's online service record updated where we can write to it, and the service book stamped where the car still has one

What it costs

The price depends on the engine, the interval and the parts you choose, because a major service on a V8 is not the same job as an interim on a 1.0 petrol. We quote before we start, from the manufacturer schedule for your exact vehicle, and you pick the parts tier. Add an MOT to a full or major service and the test costs less than it would on its own.

How long it takes

An interim service usually takes a couple of hours, a full service most of a day, and a major service a full day. Tell us when you need the car back and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Which makes

All makes and models. We go deepest on Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda and Porsche, where we hold the marque service schedules and the diagnostic software to reset the service indicators properly. We can also update the online service record on those and on Land Rover.

Ring the workshop with your registration and we will give you a price for your exact vehicle, not a range that turns into something else when you arrive.

Car servicing, questions answered

Will servicing here void my manufacturer warranty?

No. Under the Block Exemption Regulation you can have your car serviced at any qualified independent garage without losing your manufacturer warranty, as long as the service follows the manufacturer schedule and uses parts of matching quality. We do both, and on the marques listed below we update the manufacturer's online service record, so the evidence sits where a dealer will actually look for it.

What is the difference between interim, full and major?

An interim is the shorter safety and oil service, usually every six months or 6,000 miles. A full service covers more of the wear items annually. A major adds the longer-interval items such as spark plugs, fuel filters and brake fluid. We will tell you which one your car is actually due, not which one is dearest.

Will the service show up in my car's digital service history?

For Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, Skoda, Porsche and Land Rover, yes. We update the manufacturer's online record, so the service sits in the car's own history rather than only on a paper stamp. That is what a dealer looks at when you go back for warranty work, and what a buyer's inspection looks at when you sell. On anything else, and on older cars that still have a book, we stamp the book and record the work against the vehicle.

Can I choose which parts you use?

Yes. We work in three tiers: genuine dealer parts, OEM parts from the same factories that supply the manufacturer, and quality aftermarket where it makes sense on an older car. We explain the difference and you decide.

How do I know what my car actually needs?

Give us the registration and the mileage. We will look up the manufacturer schedule for your exact model and tell you what is genuinely due.
